John Whiting retires after many years service to Maritime Union

A historic day as long serving Wellington official John Whiting has his last Wellington Branch executive meeting.

Thurs­day 25 Novem­ber 2021 was a his­toric day as long serv­ing Welling­ton offi­cial John Whit­ing had his last Welling­ton Branch exec­u­tive meet­ing.

John retires leav­ing behind a branch going for­ward and in good heart.

Nation­al offi­cials joined the meet­ing through Zoom and con­grat­u­la­tions were offered to John for a work­ing life of union prin­ci­ples, hard work and lead­er­ship in many roles on the job and for the Union.
